My standard rate is $120 per clinical hour (50 minutes) or $150 for 80 minutes. I understand, however, that people experience difficult economic circumstances at times, so I offer a sliding scale fee which can be discussed and decided upon before our first session. Payment is in the form of cash or check and due when we meet for session.
For post-9/11 veterans and their families whom I see through my involvement with The Soldiers Project, there is no fee for mental health services.
At present, I do not accept insurance when seeing clients at my office on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, but I can provide you with a "super-bill" which you may submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. Please beware that some companies will reimburse such a bill and others will not. Make sure to check with provider to clarify their policy regarding this prior to our first meeting.
It's understandable to be cautious about paying for therapy when you are not yet sure you will "click" with the therapist and truly feel safe, respected, and affirmed. In order to help you with that process, I offer a free 15-minute consultation either over the phone or in my office (whichever best suits you) during which you can see if we would work well together.
